Cristián Ruiz Araneda

His professional practice focuses on environmental law, administrative law and regulation. Cristián advises public and private entities in the development of mining, real state, energy, fishing and aquaculture projects. All of it in the context of the Chilean Environmental Impact Assessment System and the associated sectoral administrative procedures.

Likewise, he participates in the design of strategies and defense in claims before the Committee of Ministers and Environmental Courts, in constitutional protection actions, and in sanctioning proceedings accorded by the National Environmental Commission and the General Bureau of Waters (DGA).

Prior to his arrival at Carcelén, Desmadryl, Guzmán, y Tapia, Cristián worked as attorney-at-law in the Legal Division of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile and was a visiting lawyer at The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, in Sydney, Australia.
