María Francisca Mendoza Ruiz

Francisca’s professional practice focuses mainly on water and administrative law. She advises domestic and foreign companies in the development of hydropower, mining, agribusiness, and sanitation projects, among others. The latter, in the context of the many procedures aimed at the attainment and exercise of water rights that have to be filed with the General Bureau for Water (DGA) and the Environmental Assessment Agency. She also provides legal counsel for the analysis and due diligence of several projects, and the design of strategies and defense for sanction procedures led by the DGA or the National Environmental Commission. María Francisca has also participated in the conventional or legal formation and registration of water user organizations.
