Her professional legal practice focuses mainly on environmental, public, and administrative law, with a strong know-how and vast experience in environmental legal counselling for Chilean and foreign clients. Paulina covers, as well, the areas of sanitary law, natural resources law, energy law, water law, among others.

Given her previous work with Chilean environmental authorities and in private- sector consulting, she has focused on environmental project management throughout all stages, from design to implementation. Paulina actively engages in the work of interdisciplinary teams, in the environmental assessment of investment activities, citizen participation, as well as in the processes of auditing and sanctioning projects both by the National Environmental Commission (Superintendencia de Medio Ambiente, SMA) and sector authorities.

Paulina has also provided legal advice on topics relating to analyses and strategies of project compliance, development of legal strategies, drafting of legal reports, compliance audits, environmental contingencies, court and administrative actions, and due diligence processes for project financing, acquisition and/or sale, among others.

She has advised the development of projects in different sectors, including mining, transportation, energy, infrastructure, and real estate.

Before being part of our firm, Paulina was from 2010 to 2019 part of the environmental team at law firm Philippi, Pietrocarrizosa, Ferrero DU & Uría, and prior to that she was Legal Head at Chilean consulting firm POCH Legal. Between 2000 and 2006, she worked as a lawyer in the legal division of the Executive Bureau of the National Environmental Board (Dirección Ejecutiva de la Comisión Nacional del Medio Ambiente).
